Technical breakthrough
Headquartered in Cambridgeshire, Paragraf has focused on solving one Of graphene's toughest challenges: producing high-quality material in a way that fits conventional manufacturing.
In late 2025, the company announced it had produced its first 6-inch graphene wafer at its manufacturing facility in Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire—an important milestone toward higher throughput, improved uniformity, and closer alignment with established semiconductor fabrication standards.
Scaling a new semiconductor technology requires long-term thinking, specialist expertise and patient capital.
The UK has the foundations to support that journey, and Paragraf's growth shows what's possible when those elements come together.

Investment and growth signals
Paragraf's progress has been backed by significant private investment. The company's published funding history includes a seed round (E2.9m), Series A (raised to E162m), Series B ($60m) and a Series C ($55m).
That Series C round included participation from a mix Of global and UK-aligned investors (including Mubadala Capital, alongside returning investors and UK institutions), reflecting confidence in both the technology pathway and the UK's ability to build differentiated semiconductor capability.
Paragraf journey
Paragraf's initial product portfolio targets sensing—an area where graphene's exceptional electrical properties can deliver immediate performance gains. Its graphene Hall sensors are designed to bring magnetic field measurement resolution closer to more complex magnetic sensors, while retaining the ease-of-use associated with Hall devices.

More significant breakthroughs
Our focus at Paragraf has always been on taking graphene out of the lab and into real semiconductor manufacturing. Building that capability in the UK has been challenging, but it's also where we've found real strength — in talent, collaboration and deep technical expertise.
